Alexis Martinez homered and tripled in her two at-bats Wednesday, Destynee Carvalho provided four innings of solid relief and Honokaa slugged its way to the BIIF softball playoffs with a 13-10 victory against Hawaii Prep at home.
The Dragons (7-9) finished the regular season by winning their fourth game in a row and secured the fourth seed in the Division II playoffs, where they will play Konawaena in a best-of-three semifinals next week.
Ka Makani (2-12) scored seven runs in the third, taking advantage of four walks and two errors, to take an 8-7 lead, but Carvalho helped stem the tide, allowing two hits and two unearned runs, with two walks and a strikeout.
Sarah Sedillo was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs for Honokaa, and Martinez, Maluhia Sanchez and Puili Hanohano each drove in two runs.
Vanessa Gary collected two hits and two RBIs for HPA, Hillary Connors was 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI and Kiai Lindsey was 2 for 5 and took the loss.

Brooke Baptiste struck out 10 in four innings Thursday and Leiloa Bustamante hit a home run as the Warriors secured the No. 2 seed in the D-II playoffs.
The Warriors will host Kohala in a best-of-three semifinal series.
Taylor Sullivan posted two doubles among her three hits and Kiarra Lincoln finished with two hits.
Gillian Cabbab took the loss.

Jessica Cameros pitched a five-inning complete game Wednesday, allowing only three hits with two strikeouts, and Elexis Emmsley and Taylor Sullivan each finished with three hits in the Warriors’ home win.
Sheri Freitas took the loss for the Trojans (3-11).

Pitchers Andi Uemura and Erin Kaimuloa Bates combined for a no-hitter in three-inning victory at Pahoa on Wednesday as the Wildcats (13-3) secured an automatic berth to the HHSAA tournament as the outright regular season champion in Division II.
Kamalani Noll took the loss for the Daggers. She allowed only four earned runs.
Kaylyn Villanueva had a single and a double, and six RBIs for the Wildcats.

Aubrey-Michelle Carter tallied four goals Wednesday at Naeole Pool, and Emma Kanoa, Lahela Rosario and Seizen Alameda each scored twice.
Santana Lopes and Jaelyn Estabilio scored two goals apiece for the Vikings.
Waiakea 17, Keaau 2
Kaitlyn Tengan recorded a hat trick, and Kaira Chang, Ashley Rynkewicz, Jhante Iga, Mackenzie Carvalho and Natalie Mendoza scored two goals apiece for the Warriors.
